Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado started the year with a spectacular win under the snow in Mol, Belgium. The victory at Exact Cross is her first of 2025-2026 cyclocross season, which she started late because of a persistent knee injury.

The Dutch rider crossed the finish line solo after having battled with Manon Bakker (Crelan-Corendon) during the fifth lap, where she managed to open and gain 12-second gap. This was also the lap where it started to snow heavily.

“The conditions surprised me a little bit; I thought it was going to rain, but it started to snow. It made it also hard seeing the lines in the sand with all that snow, but I think it’s an extra,” said Alvarado in a post-race interview.
